A one-page fillable document that covers everything your crew needs to know before race day, not after the wheels have fallen off.
Your race basics: bib, start time, race org contact, emergency details
A crew point table with your estimated arrival windows, cut-offs, planned stop times, and exactly what you need done at each one, in order
Your full nutrition and fuelling plan, including caffeine strategy and the foods that wreck you late in a race
Gear and conditions; which crew point gets the headlamp, the poles, the warm layer, and where everything is
The mental stuff; what your dark place looks like, what you want your crew to say, what you don't, and a pre-agreed signal for "I'm seriously considering dropping" versus "I'm just venting, keep moving"
What to do if something goes wrong: missed cut-offs, mid-race withdrawal, medical emergencies
Crew logistics, because a crew that's cold, hungry, and lost makes bad decisions
These strategies come straight from decades of racing and coaching experience tested at Barkley, 100-milers, and stage races around the world.

Most crew problems aren't crew problems. They're briefing problems.
Your crew shows up on race day wanting to help. But if you haven't told them what you need at each stop, in what order, they're guessing. If you haven't told them what your dark place looks like, they won't know whether to push you or back off. If you haven't given them a signal for a real DNF conversation versus a rough patch, they're going to handle it wrong — either talking you out when you should stay in, or keeping you in when you should stop.
The decisions that cost you time and energy at crew points — the 20-minute stops, the wrong food, the emotional spiral that takes three kilometres to recover from — almost always trace back to a conversation that didn't happen before the race started.
This template forces that conversation. Fill it in. Go through it with your crew. Then race knowing everyone is operating from the same plan.

"I can’t recommend Peak Endurance Coaching highly enough."
"I’ve had three tailored programs from Isobel at Peak Endurance Coaching for a couple of big Ultra events and a trail Marathon. The program was suited specifically to each event with weekly check ins to make sure we were on track for the events. Without the coaching programs I wouldn’t have been able to complete these events as well as I did without the program."

"Isobel has helped me navigate perimenopause and running."
"Isobel's support and guidance have helped navigate a frustrating year of injury, but her plans and support has kept my training consistent and matched my needs. I have been able to build back up my fitness and kept my motivation and love of running alive. She is always quick to respond to messages and is very focused on her athlete's goals and I would recommend her and her team to anyone wanting coaching expertise."

"I love not having to think about what training to do everyday."
"I’ve been working with Isobel from Peak Endurance Coaching for a few years now and she is amazing. She tailors a plan to meet your goals as well as your lifestyle, she's available for advice when you need and provides weekly feedback on how your training is going.
For me, having someone with Isobel’s experience is invaluable, I don’t have to think about what session I need to do or when, it’s all on my watch ready to go. I have achieved amazing things under Isobel’s coaching."
